At Build 2026 Microsoft unveiled Frontier Tuning, a reinforcement-learning fine-tuning capability in Azure AI Foundry that lets enterprises tune models and harnesses on their own data, graders, and RL environments, including a new 'M AI Thinking 1' model in private preview. It ties RL training to M365 signals from Teams, Outlook, and Office apps to auto-suggest skills and rubrics, with Land O'Lakes cited as an early customer. This matters because it pushes customizable RL training and agent self-improvement from frontier labs into mainstream enterprise tooling.
