At Build 2026 Microsoft unveiled Microsoft IQ, a layered system (Web IQ for fresh web search, Foundry IQ knowledge bases, and Fabric IQ ontologies built on Power BI semantic models with live telemetry) that grounds agents in both external and internal enterprise context. Demonstrated via a grid-operations agent built in Foundry and published to M365, it positions Microsoft's bet that agent quality hinges on unified, grounded context rather than scattered data.
