The Autonomous Computer: Infrastructure for Computer Use Agents — Ang Li, Simular
Simular CEO argues general AI systems must be neurosymbolic, combining code with neural networks
“A general AI system must be neurosymbolic”
Ang Li, co-founder/CEO of Simular and ex-DeepMind researcher, presented on infrastructure for computer-use agents, arguing that effective general AI requires a neurosymbolic approach combining neural networks with code. Simular is building a four-component infrastructure stack for computer-use applications and has a product called Psi currently in closed beta. The talk is more introductory than technically novel, limiting its signal value for an informed AI audience.
