Why Your AI Agents Can't Talk to Each Other (Yet) — Vlad Luzin, BAND

BAND argues AI agents need native communication infrastructure to overcome the single-agent bottleneck

“AI will do the work on our behalf, and they will have to communicate with each other to solve tasks for us.”

Vlad Luzin (BAND CTO) argues that transformer architecture's single-agent bottleneck is why engineers currently resort to running multiple competitive agents with humans or code acting as routers between them. His company is building a conversational space where agents can discover each other via registries, delegate tasks, and communicate autonomously across business boundaries. The framing of 'cycle engineering' as a stopgap workaround rather than a destination is a useful critical lens on current multi-agent tooling.
