pgcov is a new open-source CLI tool that brings test coverage analysis to PostgreSQL SQL and PL/pgSQL code.

Pavlo Golub of Cybertec introduced pgcov, a standalone CLI that instruments SQL/PL-pgSQL on the fly to measure which code branches execute during tests, filling a long-standing coverage gap for Postgres. It is a database developer-tooling launch with no meaningful AI signal.
