Microsoft demoed running a 120B parameter model entirely offline on the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box (Project Zemoth) at Build, using a new 'Intelligent Terminal' that embeds an AI pair programmer with persistent shell context. The demo showed automating multi-step VM creation tasks locally without cloud calls. This is a meaningful signal for on-device AI compute capability, as 120B models have previously required datacenter-class hardware.
