AWS and Symphonica use MCP and Kiro to deploy safe agentic AI into telco networks

“only workflows behind that MCP layer would be accessed by the agent”

At DTW 2026, AWS and Symphonica demonstrated a three-layer architecture for deploying agentic AI in telecom environments — using MCP as a control boundary to limit agent access to pre-approved workflows, Kiro for spec-driven (not vibe-coded) development, and Amazon's Strand framework on AgentCore Runtime for autonomous fallout management. The pattern is notable because it treats MCP not as an integration convenience but as a security enforcement layer, exposing only 4 of 31 available Symphonica workflows to agents. This is a concrete enterprise blueprint for constrained agentic AI deployment, but it is narrow in scope and audience.
