Run Untrusted Agent Code with LangSmith Sandboxes | Interrupt 26
LangChain launched LangSmith Sandboxes to safely run untrusted agent code with sub-second spin-up.
“agents are writing real code today”— Sundar Pichai
At Interrupt 2026, LangChain's infrastructure lead unveiled LangSmith Sandboxes, a managed primitive for executing untrusted agent-generated code safely, featuring a P50 0.98s spin-up, an auth proxy for network lockdown, and durable pause/resume state with no time limits. It matters because coding agents now produce large shares of production code, making isolation against container escapes, prompt injection, and supply-chain attacks a core infrastructure requirement. Note: despite metadata listing Sundar Pichai as speaker, the talk is by a LangChain infra lead who only quotes Pichai's 75%-of-Google-code stat.
