Tim Sweeney, lead engineer at Weights & Biases and CoreWeave, introduced ARIA, a new agentic system designed to automate AI/ML research iteration and experimentation within the W&B platform. The agent leverages W&B's observability stack and CoreWeave compute — reflecting the ~1 year old acquisition — to close the loop between experiment tracking and automated next-step decisions. This continues the trend of major MLOps platforms embedding agentic layers directly into research workflows, reducing manual iteration overhead for ML engineers.
