Digital product studio In The Pocket built a production RAG system for an anonymous Belgian fintech operating the country's largest payment network, ingesting ~270 PDF rulebooks (~6,000 pages, ~3,000 tables) with heavy cross-referencing. The key engineering challenges were citation accuracy (every answer must link to a specific rulebook section and page) and knowledge scoping (preventing the LLM from drawing on general-world knowledge about competing payment systems). The talk is a practitioner case study on RAG in regulated, table-heavy document corpora rather than a novel research or product announcement.
