How businesses can use AI and keep their data private
Confidential computing lets enterprises run encrypted, never-decrypted model weights in their own data centers.
“the only way to uh unlock AI with that data set is really to bring the model down to the data center”
At NVIDIA GTC, a speaker explained that regulated enterprises in healthcare, finance, and government can't move sensitive data to the cloud, while model builders won't expose their weights. Confidential computing resolves this by bringing encrypted model weights into the customer's data center where they are never decrypted and can't be seen by data center operators. It matters as an approach to unlocking enterprise AI adoption in privacy-constrained markets.
