Uber's engineering team built uReview, an in-house multi-agent automated code review system, after first-time-to-review metrics worsened from 3 hours in 2024 to 9 hours in 2026 due to AI-driven PR volume growth. The system is designed to apply consistent review rules to both human and agent-authored code, supporting Uber's agentic SDLC vision. Key design goals include distributed team customization, risk-based review depth, and guaranteed security/compliance coverage across all PRs.
