While my guitar gently speaks — Todd Fisher, Philo Ventures
Engineer uses AI to accelerate passion project: making a guitar speak.
“the last 6 months or so with AI uh being able to, you know, push us forward with some of these projects, it's just really cool to see where we can take all these projects”
Todd Fisher of Philo Ventures gave an inspirational talk at AI Engineer about using AI to finally build long-deferred passion projects, specifically a system that makes his guitar speak. The talk is largely anecdotal framing with concert memories and a call to action for engineers, with minimal technical depth shown in the transcript. The AI signal is weak — the claim that AI has accelerated personal side projects is broadly held sentiment, not a novel finding or announcement.
