will.i.am + Slack CRO Zach Ciliotta-Young on AI and the Future of Work | Dreamforce
Voice interaction will replace typing as the primary way humans work with AI agents.
“Typing is going to become like the rotary phone.”
At Dreamforce, will.i.am and Slack CRO Zach Ciliotta-Young argued that voice-driven AI agents will make keyboard-based work obsolete, with will.i.am demoing voice commands to post content directly to Slack. While the messaging reinforces the mainstream 'agents replace rote work' narrative, the session is more inspirational than substantive, with no new product announcements or data to back the claims.
