Robotic factories that build robots
Tensor builds AI-learning robotic factories that mass-produce humanoid robots and industrial equipment
“We are like the TSMC of the robotics world.”
Tensor, a YC-backed startup founded by Berkeley researchers, operates a 12,000 sq ft factory that uses machine learning to improve production with each order. They are manufacturing humanoid robots (Asimov 1, 275+ parts) for customers including Berkeley AI Research Lab and targeting mass production. The TSMC-of-robotics positioning signals a contract manufacturing play for the emerging humanoid robot market, but the company is early-stage with limited public traction.
