LangChain released Deep Agents, an open-source toolkit designed to handle the infrastructure challenges of complex, long-running AI agents, including context management, sandboxed code execution, human-in-the-loop verification, and authorization checks. The toolkit is portable across environments (laptop, sandbox, cloud) without code changes, and ships with a free LangChain Academy course. It addresses a real gap in agent development tooling but is a framework/tooling announcement rather than a breakthrough capability.
