Microsoft's Postgres Developer Tools team detailed how its VS Code extension (now over 500K installs) is expanding to officially support Cursor IDE and AI-agent-driven workflows, plus new Azure server management and object inspection features. It signals the shift of database tooling toward AI editors and agentic development, but is a niche product update rather than a major industry-defining AI signal.
