Build OpenClaw agents that transact with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments
AWS AgentCore payments lets AI agents autonomously pay for services within pre-approved limits
“A safe design keeps wallet-provider credentials and the authority to create or expand payment sessions outside the model-facing runtime.”
Amazon Bedrock AgentCore now offers a native payments layer that allows autonomous agents to settle HTTP 402 transactions — including stablecoin micro-payments — within human-provisioned spending limits, removing the need for human approval at each transaction. The design explicitly assumes prompt injection is possible and scopes the runtime's authority by recipient, asset, network, amount, and expiry rather than trying to prevent manipulation. This represents a meaningful infrastructure step toward economically capable agents that can transact across paid APIs and MCP tools without operator presence.
