Build collaborative agents where work happens
Microsoft Teams SDK for collaborative agents is now generally available in Python, JavaScript, and C#
“The real opportunity with agents in Microsoft Teams isn't just automation—the most impactful agents are active participants in how work gets done.”
At Microsoft Build 2026, Microsoft announced general availability of the Teams SDK for building collaborative agents in chats, channels, and meetings. The release includes a new developer CLI, expanded language support (Python, JS, C#), and sovereign cloud support for GCC High and DoD environments. Partners like Linear and Cursor are already shipping agents that live inside Teams workflows, signaling a push to make Teams the primary surface for agentic work.
