React for Agents: Astro Creator Brings Hooks to his Meta-Harness, Flue
Flue v2 launches as first stable agent framework built on React-style Agent Hooks
Astro creator Fred Schott (whose company was acquired by Cloudflare in January 2026) released Flue v2, the first stable release of his AI agent meta-harness, with React-style 'Agent Hooks' as its core programming model. The design borrows from web development's most successful abstraction to give developers familiar primitives for agent authoring. Alongside Vercel's eve, Flue is one of the earliest frameworks setting the template for how developers will build and compose AI agents.
