Microsoft is updating Power Pages to push external-user authorization down into Dataverse natively, replacing runtime reconstruction of permissions with mapped identities, security roles, and record filters. The change adds a new Custom Scope using FetchXML filters for more granular record-level access control. This is a platform security architecture improvement with no meaningful AI signal for a conference intelligence newsletter.
