How Rescale built an AI triage agent with Strands Agents and AI-DLC
Rescale built an AI test-failure triage agent from problem definition to staging in five days using AWS AI-DLC
“AI generates work plans, writes code, and proposes architecture, but it surfaces decision points and asks clarifying questions rather than guessing.”
Rescale, an HPC/digital engineering platform, used AWS's open-source AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) framework and Strands Agents to automate the classification and routing of nightly end-to-end test failures, going from concept to staging in five days. The architecture enforces a human-in-the-loop model where AI proposes and executes but engineers validate and approve. This is a practitioner case study showing how agentic AI is being applied to internal engineering operations, not a major product launch.
