Databricks has made its Variant data type generally available, targeting faster ingestion of semi-structured data like JSON, XML, and CSV. While relevant to data platform users, this is a data engineering feature rather than a core AI/ML signal. It has limited direct relevance to the AI conference intelligence focus of The Hallway Track.
