Simon Willison built an interactive SQLite EXPLAIN tool by prompting Claude Fable, running SQLite via Pyodide in WebAssembly inside the browser. The tool wraps both EXPLAIN and EXPLAIN QUERY PLAN with natural language annotations. It is a minor but illustrative example of using AI to build niche developer utilities quickly, though Willison himself cautions the AI-generated explanations are unverified.
