AWS enables llama.cpp decision models on SageMaker AI returning option probabilities instead of free-form text

AWS published a how-to guide for deploying llama.cpp on SageMaker AI with two paths: standard OpenAI-compatible chat completions, and a structured-decision path using SemIf that returns probabilities over declared options rather than generated text. The SemIf approach targets routing, agent action selection, and policy assignment use cases where discrete scored choices are preferable to free-form outputs. This is a practical deployment pattern for ML engineers but not a major industry signal.
