AWS launched AgentCore Optimization Insights, a tool that identifies behavioral failures in deployed AI agents that pass all infrastructure health checks but produce wrong outcomes for users. The tool operates above existing observability stacks, clustering trace data to surface ranked failure patterns, user intent drift, and execution anomalies without requiring new instrumentation. This matters because silent agent failures—where the system reports success but the action never executed—are a critical unsolved problem for teams running agents at scale.
