Introducing Agent Optimizer in Foundry Agent Service
Microsoft launches Agent Optimizer in Foundry Agent Service to automate optimizing hosted agents.
“the hard part isn't building the agent, it's getting the agent to behave correctly across all the scenarios it needs to handle.”
Microsoft introduced Agent Optimizer in Foundry Agent Service, a closed-loop tool that evaluates hosted agents against pass/fail criteria, generates and ranks improved configurations (instructions, skills, or model choice), and deploys the winner via a single CLI command. It is in private preview with public preview in 30 days. It matters because it automates the manual prompt-tuning and testing loop that bottlenecks teams moving AI agents from 'live' to production-ready at scale.
