Anthropic is donating its Agent Skills specification to the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), the Linux Foundation body it co-founded with Block and OpenAI, which already houses the Model Context Protocol. This continues Anthropic's pattern of contributing agentic AI standards to vendor-neutral governance bodies, reinforcing interoperability across the ecosystem. The move signals growing institutional infrastructure around AI agent standards, with AAIF emerging as the de facto home for cross-vendor agentic protocols.
