Stop guessing auto scaling targets for TTS on Amazon SageMaker AI
AWS proposes measurement-derived auto-scaling targets for TTS endpoints to replace error-prone guesswork
“A policy that looks fine on the console can already be failing the people it's supposed to serve.”
AWS published a methodology for setting auto-scaling thresholds on SageMaker TTS endpoints by measuring two empirical values — maximum sustainable concurrency and scale-out latency — then deriving all policy parameters arithmetically. The approach uses SageMaker's native ConcurrentRequestsPerModel metric to avoid custom instrumentation failure modes. This is a practical MLOps engineering guide rather than a strategic or product signal.
